Success is difficult to define in football. Our many Senior and Reserve Premiership flags is one measure. However, with the provision of an avenue for men, women and children to participate and reap the benefits of health & fitness in our great game whilst others enjoy watching is possibly our major aim.
To nurture and develop young players so they reach their potential is an essential role of modern clubs. Manunda Hawks have been delighted as junior players from our club have advanced to play AFL football at the highest-level naming Western Bulldogs and Gold Coast Suns 250 gamer and 2018 Club Best & Fairest player Jarrod Harbrow, Essendon Bombers Courtney Dempsey, and the most recent drafted Cairns product into the Gold Coast Suns 2021 season Alex Davies. Their success is testimony to our local youth policy, and the fact that two of these players are local Indigenous youngsters Jarrod Harbrow and Essendon Bomber Courtney Dempsey underlines our commitment to our policy of inclusion.
